Finally! Summer is here, I am back home in San Diego, and I have already been on many adventures! Disneyland is celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year, so Nathan and I kicked off our summer by going to the 24 hour Disneyland 60th Celebration party! We both arrived around 4 am, and Disneyland ended up being closed because it was already so crowded! That day was very fun, but oh-so-exhausting.
The Paint the Night Parade at Disneyland and the Fireworks Show is one of the most fantastic, beautiful and mesmerizing experiences of my life. I have never seen anything quite like it! To keep from spoiling things, I will only say that if you have the time, go see it. (And be sure to allow at least two hours of waiting to get a good spot to see the parade and fireworks. Two hours may seem like a lot, but I promise you it is worth it.) Nathan and I have quite a few more adventures planned for this summer. Our main, and what has come to be our favorite, event is Comic Con. Held right across the bay at the San Diego Convention center, Comic Con draws hundreds of thousands of people to take part in a truly insane convention. Tons of celebrities, movie studios, fans and authors come out to share in a collectively wonderful experience that is Comic Con. On our list of what we want to see this year is the cast of Game of Thrones, whatever Warner Brothers brings, the Marvel panel, and what is going to be the most exciting for me: the Sherlock panel!!!! Only one month and three days until Preview Night of Comic Con. I can't wait! Ta ta for now! Marlee
