Just like you, I have become addicted to the 30 second recipe videos that are posted on Facebook Pages such as Buzzfeed Food and Tasty. Well, I finally decided to try one, and cooked for my roommates. Courtesy of Buzzfeed, I tried the Pizza Roll-Ups, and man were they delicious! These are so simple to make, and are definitely a hit in the college-kid crowd. Who doesn’t love pizza? (If you don’t, this is where you are politely asked to exit). An exciting twist on the classic Italian delicacy, this is an easy 3 to 4 ingredient snack. Start with the ingredients: croissant rolls, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese sticks, and, if you prefer, pepperoni. It only gets easier from here. As shown in the video, you start the creating process by unrolling your croissants out fully onto a tray. Add a spoonful of sauce, a couple pepperoni slices, half of a cheese stick, and roll them right up! These were an amazing snack that I served with a bowl of warm pizza sauce to use as a dip! They were gone in just a few minutes! You can even make a bunch of these for leftover snacks to have on hand during a busy school week. Below are some pictures of other fun food items I have made! Enjoy!

Oh, the lovely, wonderful library. Jokes! Finals week has hit at Chico State and let me tell you: this week is not an easy one. My main frustration with Finals Week isn’t even with this week at all. It is the week that leads up to finals. Known as “Dead Week” in Chico, we are supposed to have a week of rest and review in class. This means there should be no new assignments, no new PowerPoints or lecture notes… of course this is NOT how my Dead Week went. I got a bunch of new assignments, essays, lecture notes and homework. Thanks a lot, my amazing professors. With all of these assignments, I clearly need to go to the library. My favorite spot is on the first floor, right next to the computer lab. This section of the library, called “The Grove” is for QUIET STUDY. All caps necessary because apparently “quiet study” is not something that everyone understands. Right when you walk in the room, there is a huge sign that says “Quiet Study: please silence your cell phones.” You would be shocked to find out how many people cannot comprehend that sign.
People honestly don’t seem to understand that the quiet section of the library is for silence… The best part about the library though, specifically during finals week, is that all of the kids that haven’t seen the inside of the library all semester decide that this is the week to go. They bring the entire semester’s worth of work and stake out in the library for the week. It is funny at first, but then it gets annoying to those of us that are there all of the time and actually use the space to work instead of goof off. Library etiquette: be quiet, do work. That being said, I need to study for my finals! Take your conversations elsewhere, people… maybe somewhere like, oh I don’t know, the group study floor? The one designated for you to hang out with friends and sort of do work? Good luck to those of you in the library, actually studying your booties off. I beliee in you! May the curve be ever in your favor, pals! To those of you experiencing the same struggle as myself in the QUIET SECTIONS of your school’s library, I am right there with you. Good luck. It is almost summer! Thank goodness! With love, Marlee |
