For us, it seems like we have done just about everything there is to do in Coronado and Downtown San Diego. As two college kids with short attention spans and loads of energy, we got a group of friends together and chose to go mini golfing... something we have never done together! The morning started out early. Deciding to wear "golfing attire" collectively as a group, we piled into the car and hit the road on the (what felt to be) forever long drive. Stopping in downtown Del Mar, pictures were taken at the beach, and we went to the local sandwich shop. Board and Brew was packed like sardines. With a line out the door, one fan, stressed out employees chugging espressos and a crowd of sweaty people waiting for their food, we were lucky enough to swoop in and grab a table. Our sandwiches were humungous, refreshing and delicious which fed our "hangry" appetites! On full stomachs, we got back in our cars and charged down the road to do get our game on. We may have been a bit too excited about mini golf, because when we pulled up to the Pelly's Mini Golf shack to get our clubs and balls, the poor Pelly's employee was overwhelmed by our outrageous energy and enthusiasm. After making the poor guy take some rad pictures of our fabulous foursome, we started out on the "Ocean Adventure" course. Turns out that the majority of us are actually pretty good... something we didn't know about each other. We ended our day goofing off in La Jolla. Stopping for cupcakes at Sprinkles, beverages at Whole Foods, shopping and stories at a paper store, we would have to say our day was pretty successful! If you ever have the chance to go mini golfing, we would definitely recommend it. It is a cheap way to have a great time with friends, while saving money and spending time outside!
